KBS Survey: 8 Out of 10 Believe Park Will Do a Good Job
A KBS survey finds that eight out of ten people believe President-elect Park Geun-hye will do a good job leading South Korea.

The survey on one-thousand adults nationwide found that 30 percent of respondents believe Park will do an excellent job while 48-point-four percent said she will be relatively good in her new position.

Nearly half of those surveyed said the new government should place top priority on reviving people¡¯s livelihood. Respondents also picked expanding welfare policies and realizing economic democratization as other key tasks for the new government.

As the first political reform measure that Park should pursue, a large number of respondents chose eradicating corruption by president¡¯s aides as well as revamping the National Assembly and political parties.

On the direction the government should take in North Korea policies, nearly 70 percent of respondents said the new government should make efforts to improve inter-Korean ties while 28 percent said Seoul should demand the North to issue an apology for its provocations ahead of enhancing ties.

The survey was conducted by Media Research for KBS via phone last Sunday. It has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three-point-one percentage points
